Day 1 - Arrive in Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi, where you will be met by our Red Savannah representative and chauffeured to Giraffe Manor where your Kenya safari begins.

Giraffe Manor is perfect for easing into a safari. A peaceful retreat, it has become an icon of Nairobi's historical landscape. Found in the middle of a 140 acre giraffe sanctuary, it is not uncommon to be greeted at breakfast by a resident giraffe, having put its head through the open window. Always keen to be hand fed, these endangered Rothschild giraffe help to produce unforgettable memories.

Day 2 - Nairobi  - Chyulu Hills National Park
Transfer to Wilson Airport. There you will meet your light aircraft and pilot before taking off for Ol Donyo Lodge. In the heart of the 275,000 acre Mbirikani Group Ranch, Ol Donyo Lodge is located on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills National Park between the Amboseli and Tsavo West National Parks in southeast Kenya. Its setting is unparalleled with complete views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the path of seasonal elephant migrations.

Ol Donyo Lodge's founder Richard Bonham, a keen aviator, fell in love with this area throughout his many encounters with the local Masai and forays over the savannah. He helped to establish a pioneering community conservation tourism project. The concept was simple: Richard brought guests to the remote group ranch to participate in safaris, and the Masai shared the benefits. In essence Ol Donyo Lodge is symbiotically linked to the land, people and wildlife. Ol Donyo Lodge is a 20-bed lodge, with no two suites or villas the same.

Day 4 - Chyulu Hills National Park - Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
Fly to Lewa where you will be met and driven to Sirikoi Camp. Built on private land, upon the northern slopes of Mount Kenya, Sirikoi is encircled by the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.  Hidden beneath acacia woodland and overlooking a natural watering hole, Sirikoi offers some of the most spectacular game viewing. The landscape includes the mountainous regions of Mount Kenya, open grasslands, indigenous forest and beautiful riverine valleys. Evening sundowners followed by delicious meals served under the stars, after which you can sit next to a roaring fire listening to the night-time sounds of Africa are just a small part of this magical experience.

Accommodation consists of four separate wooden platforms upon which extravagant tented rooms and private verandahs look out onto the waterhole. There are also two cottages available. 24hr electricity and Wi-Fi are provided.

Day 5 - Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
Enjoy the day in the conservancy:  take a picnic along on a bush walk, go horseback riding or maybe try a camel safari. Take a 15 minute helicopter flight to Mount Kenya or, for the ultimate flying safari experience, take a Waco biplane, based on the original 1920's model for a flight to watch wildlife from the air.

Game viewing at Lewa is superb. During the day, the 18m horizon pool is never without views onto animals grazing in the near distance. At night, the camp is often host to a different type of guest. Zebra, impala, rhino, hippo, waterbuck and buffalo will sometimes move in to do a bit of "gardening" and lawn trimming, providing incredible night sounds.  Home to over 10% of Kenya's critically endangered black rhino population, Lewa also has the largest resident population of endangered Grevy & Burchell's zebra in the world: 370.

Overnight Sirikoi Lodge

Day 6 - Lewa Wildlife Conservancy  - Masai Mara Game Reserve
Fly to the Masai Mara, where you will be met and driven to Richard's Camp. An isolated and intimate camp, nestled among African olive trees, Richard's Camp overlooks the open plains of the Masai Mara.

Eight comfortably-large tents with 24-hour solar lighting, en-suite bathrooms and flushing loos, will ensure comfort throughout your stay.

Overnight Richard's Camp

Days 7 - 8 - Masai Mara Game Reserve
Accompanied by the superb camp guides, you spend the morning and evenings on game drives observing the wildlife. Other activities include picnics and bush meals, birding and scenic hikes, cultural visits to the Masai people, and (with prior booking) game viewing by hot air balloon. To continue your flying safari adventure, why not take a scenic flight over the Masai Mara or a day excursion to Lake Victoria?

Widely considered to be Africa's greatest wildlife reserve, the Masai Mara Game Reserve offers prime viewing of the Big Five: elephant, lion, rhinoceros, buffalo and leopard. Owned by the Masai in the form of the Ol Choro Oirouwa Wildlife Management and Conservation Association, this area annually accommodates over a million wildebeest and around 300,000 zebra in the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth, the Great Migration. Following the path of the rains, these and many other species are an unmissable experience.

Returning to camp in the evening take a hot shower or bath and then enjoy cocktails around the open camp fire and a sumptuous three-course dinner under a canopy of stars.
