Arrive in Nairobi where you will be met by our Red Savannah representative and chauffeured to Ololo Safari Lodge where your Kenya safari begins.

Ololo Lodge is located 45 minutes away from Nairobi’s airports and is situated right on the edge of Nairobi National Park. Its secluded location makes for good game viewing, and in particular excellent bird-watching, while back at the lodge you can relax in front of an open fire, or enjoy the views across the park from their library.

Overnight: Ololo Lodge.

Day 2 – Nairobi – Laikipia Plateau
Depart Nairobi and fly to the Laikipia Plateau in the foothills of Mt Kenya where you will be transferred to Sosian Lodge. You will spend the next three nights at Sosian, a private ranch with access to 75,000 acres of game viewing.

Overnight: Sosian Lodge.

Days 3 – 4 – Laikipia Plateau
Horse-riding in Africa started in Kenya and Sosian has one of the finest stables in the country. With 26 horses and ponies you can ride through the varied terrain, through rivers and along tracks, with close encounters with big game along the way. However, activities are not solely centred on the equine and are tailored-made to your own requirements, for example: game drives, walking and tracking, camel riding, fishing or fly-camping.

Overnight: Sosian Lodge.

Day 5 - Laikipia Plateau – Masai Mara
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival at the Kichwa airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Kichwa Tembo tented camp with game viewing along the way. You will spend the next three days game viewing in the Masai Mara Reserve.

Set in a private concession, and in the path of the annual wildebeest migration, Kichwa Tembo offers unrivalled views of the Mara plains, where game viewing starts from the veranda of your tent. Essential activities at Kichwa Tembo include day and night games drives and interpretive bush walks, plus at an extra cost, have a bird's eye view of the Masai Mara in an incredible hot air ballooning experience bush breakfasts and authentic Masai village visits to learn about the local community.

Day 8 – Masai Mara – Kenya Coast
This morning you will be transferred to the Mara airstrip for your flight to Lamu, via Nairobi. On arrival you will be met and transferred by boat to Manda Bay.
