The Maldives is not always the first destination that springs to mind when one is planning a family holiday.  Now more than ever it is the perfect outdoor playground with kids' clubs springing up in all the top resorts and diving classes starting for those as young as eight, allowing you to combine guilt-free escapism with childhood fun. 

 

Day 1 - Arrive in Malé where you will be met and transferred to the jetty for your 75 minute journey by One&Only's luxury motor yacht to Reethi Rah.  The island gong beats your arrival and you will receive a warm welcome from the team as they proudly show you their island paradise. 

Days 2-7 -  Days at leisure to explore and enjoy Reethi Rah's facilities which include the award winning One&Only Spa by ESPA , a fitness centre for adults, fully equipped with state of the art equipment and a dedicated fitness team and for children there are swimming lessons, boxing and at certain times of the year, yoga and Tai Chi.  Three public pools include the main pool, the adult-only lap pool extending 30 metres out into the lagoon with a bubble bed at one end and a freeform infinity pool with an internal Jacuzzi and islands.  A vast array of complimentary non-motorised watersports, as well as motorised water sports which are charged for.  One&Only's PADI Dive Centre is the Maldives' only National Geographic dive centre with programmes for 8 years and up.  For land lovers there are two floodlit grass tennis courts, volleyball, football, pétanque, badminton and table tennis, not forgetting the 12 white sand beaches that edge the island.  Mouth-watering cuisine can be enjoyed at any time of the day, prepared with passion and flair in the four restaurants spanning Far East, Middle East, The Mediterranean, Japan and Arabia.

Day 8 - This morning you will depart on One&Only's luxury motor yacht back to Malé, which will take approximately 75 minutes.  On arrival in Malé you will be met and escorted to the international departures terminal for your flight home.

WHERE TO STAY

A combination of over-water and beach villas gives you a diverse choice.  Beach Villas enjoy direct views of the ocean with a private stretch of beach.  Duplex Beach Villas are ideal for older families, consisting of two Beach Villas  five metres apart and joined by an external walkway with an expanse of private shoreline stretches directly onto the white sand beach and inviting waters of the lagoon.  One villa features a king-size bed and the other offers two queen-size beds.    Some also come with a pool.  The largest villas are the Grand Beach Villas, with a private beach, a 50sqm private pool and come with one or two spacious bedrooms.
