Day 5 -Transfer to Lakaz Chamarel
Transfer to the island's south-west, to Lakaz Chamarel, a quirky boutique hotel located in the forests of the Black River Gorges at the foot of the Piton Canot mountain.

Often overlooked in favour of the white beaches for which Mauritius is famous, the island's interior is one of its best kept secrets. Full of lush forests, waterfalls and birdlife, the interior perfectly compliments a beach retreat.

With only twenty rooms, Lakaz Chamarel has a charming atmosphere and feels like home away from home. Its tropical gardens are some twenty acres and are simply stunning. All rooms have lovely views of the gardens, but the Piton Canot Suite has the most divine view of both the gardens and the ocean. Tacamaca has the best views of the gardens.
