Day 1 - Calcutta
Arrive in Calcutta and check in to your hotel in heart of Calcutta.

Overnight: Oberoi Grand Hotel.

Day 2 - Colonial Calcutta
Take a trip back to colonial Calcutta beginning in Dalhousie Square and continuing to the Writer's Building, formerly the East India Company's HQ, the Governor's House and the Charnock Mausoleum. 

Overnight: Oberoi Grand Hotel.

Day 3 - Calcutta - Bagdogra - Sangdyang Lee in Sikkim
Fly to Bagdogra and continue to Sangdyang Lee in Sikkim and your authentic village home for the next few days. Accommodation in the villages of Sikkim is simple, yet charming and set in idyllic, off-the-beaten-track locations. Your guide will provide an introductory briefing, followed by drinks around the fire under the stars and then dinner.

Overnight: Sangdyang Lee Village House.

Day 4 - Sangdyang Lee in Sikkim
A memorable day walking and relaxing in the mountains. At dawn, walk up to your host family's 300 year old monastery. Your efforts will be rewarded with a view over the Pemayangste Hill and to the great Himalayan range. The sight of the sun rising through the fluttering prayer flags with Kanchenjunga as a backdrop is truly unforgettable. Continue to Rinchenpong Monastery where you may participate in early morning prayers before walking back to Sandyang Lee. You may take an optional afternoon walk to the the mountain village market of Rinchenpong. 

Overnight: Sangdyang Lee Village House.

Day 5 - Hee
A full day's walk through fascinating scenery and small Himalayan towns to reach the village of Hee.

Overnight: Hee Village House.

Day 6 - Hee.

Overnight: Hee Village House.

Day 7 - Rhadu Kandhu
Take a scenic walk through a red panda sanctuary and along an ancient trade route to reach your next village house in Radhu Kandhu. You will be hosted for the night by a most charming family at their traditional Sikkimese house.

Overnight: Radhu Khandu Village House. 

Day 8 - Darjeeling
Leave the tranquility of the mountain villages for the city of Darjeeling and your 19th century colonial hotel, originally a boarding house for bachelor English and Scottish tea planters.

Overnight: Windamere Hotel.

Day 9 - Darljeeling 
Explore historic Darjeeling and take a narrow gauge railway to the Buddhist Ghoom Monastery.

Overnight: Windamere Hotel.

Day 10 - Glenburn Tea Estate
Transfer to the Glenburn Tea Estate, a wonderful plantation retreat overlooked by the mighty Kanchenjunga mountain range.

Overnight: Glenburn Tea Estate.

Days 11 - 13 - Glenburn Tea Estate
Enjoy several days exploring the area. Activities include personal tours of the tea estate and factory, tea tasting sessions, optional overnight stays at the Camp Glenburn Log Cabin, and nature and bird walks. 

Overnight: Glenburn Tea Estate.

Day 14 - Calcutta
Transfer to Bagdogra for your flight to Calcutta.

Overnight: Oberoi Grand Hotel.

Day 15 - Depart
Take your return flight home.
