Day 1 - Kuching
Land in Kuching today and meet your guide before settling in to your hotel.

Overnight: Pullman Kuching

Day 2 - Sarawak
Spend the day exploring the peaceful riverside capital of Sarawak. To the east you will walk through lively open-air markets, taking in sights and smells from across Asia. The west of the city offers a stark contrast and underlines the previous power of the Brooke Dynasty (White Rajahs). Highlights of colonial architecture include the Brooke Memorial Monument, Old Court House and Post Office before a visit to the Sarawak Museum introduces the wildlife of Borneo.

Day 3 - Bako National Park
Travel by car and boat to the coastal mangrove forests of Bako National Park, where inhabitants include proboscis monkey, silver langur, flying squirrel and over 150 species of birds.

Day 4 - Semenggok - Iban Headhunters
Take in the morning feeding session at Semenggok Orang-utan Santuary before journeying into the heart of Sarawak to meet the Iban Headhunters. Your time here will give a genuine insight into the traditional lives of an ancient tribe and take you back to basics.

Overnight: Ngemah Longhouse

Day 5 - Sarawak
After a morning which might include trekking or hunting techniques you will transfer to the peaceful Batang Ai reservoir to appreciate a few more creature comforts and beautiful natural surroundings.

Day 6 - Kota Kinabalu
Return to Kuching and fly to Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah.

Overnight: Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru

Day 7 - Kota Kinabalu
At leisure to catch your breath before the next adventure.

Day 8 - Sandakan
Fly to Sandakan for the morning feeding session at Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary. Cruise out in to the Sulu Sea and then upstream on the Kinabatangan River, keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife as you travel towards your remote jungle lodge. This area offers frequent sightings of hornbill and wild orang-utan, before the fire flies come out at night.

Overnight: Abai Jungle Lodge

Day 9 - Abai Jungle Lodge - Sukau
Early morning is a great time to spot wildlife and you might like to join in with a tree planting project before moving further upstream to the village of Sukau.

Overnight: Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge

Day 10 - Sukau
The surrounding tributaries and ox-bow lakes are home to herds of Bornean pygmy elephant, crocodile and clouded leopard.

Day 11 -  Danum Valley
Leave the river behind and travel by road to the remote Danum Valley, one of the few remaining areas of primary rainforest in Borneo. Search out nocturnal species on a night drive.

Overnight: Borneo Rainforest Lodge

Day 12 - Danum Valley
Come face-to-face with the gibbons on canopy walkways, trek between waterfalls and remote burial sites and then cool off in a natural 'jacuzzi pool'.

Day 13 - Kapalai
Leave the rainforest behind as you travel to the coast and zip across the Celebes Sea to Kapalai.

Overnight: Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort

Days 14 - 16 - Kapalai
The Kapalai Dive Package includes three daily dives and you are surrounded by some of the best dive sites in Southeast Asia, if not the world. Over 3,000 species of fish and hundreds of coral species wait to be discovered. Highlights include manta rays, whale sharks and hammerhead sharks as well as both green and hawksbill turtles.

Overnight: Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort

Day 17 - Depart
Return to the mainland and transfer to Tawau to fly home.
