South West France
The British and French battled for ownership of South West France for more than a hundred years. War may be over, but the region's desirability remains. To the north, picturesque medieval bastide towns perch precipitously above slow, sweeping rivers. In the south, the terracotta rooftops of farmhouses shimmer in the summer sun amongst the rolling sunflower fields of Gascony. This is La France Profonde, where cockerels announce the arrival of dawn and wine is more plentiful than water.
Our villas in South West France include beach houses on the soft sands of Arcachon bay and magnificent belle époque manor houses in desirable Cap Ferret. We have stylish villas overlooking the vineyards of St Emilion in Bordeaux wine country and private chateaux in the verdant hills of the Dordogne.
