Dubrovnik, Split & Islands
Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque, with palaces, monasteries and
churches, Dubrovnik shows the layers of ages in its elegant Old
Town. Dubbed 'the Pearl of the Adriatic' by George Bernard Shaw, it
has seen wars old and recent to re-emerge as a city of style and
vigour. We have therefore searched for a small collection of houses
that reflect both the city's modern buzz and deep medieval history.
What we found are Dubrovnik villas positioned perfectly for those
who want to partake of the culture, the beaches in close proximity,
the restaurants, cafes and musical recitals that fill the city's
churches. The houses have pools to laze away an afternoon (when
you're not off island-hopping in a private charter). Tire of that
and you are only 100 metres from the balmy shores of the
Adriatic.
