The interior of the house, decorated strikingly with vibrant
canvasses and some contemporary furnishing, is none-the-less
comfortable and in many ways traditional. The master bedroom
is particularly appealing, not least for its designer en suite
bathroom with rain shower and views over vineyards to the Mont
Ventoux.
Accommodation is divided between the main house, with kitchen,
living areas and three bedrooms, including the sizeable master
bedroom, and an adjacent guest house, with a further double and
twin bedroom, each with bathroom.
Bedroom configuration:
Bedroom 1: King-size bed with en suite shower room
Bedroom 2: Double, with adjacent bathroom
Bedroom 3: Twin room with adjacent bathroom
Bedroom 4: Double, with en suite shower room
Bedroom 5: Twin with en suite bathroom
The gardens: In addition to the formal
dining area in the main house, a large, covered terrace is
positioned off the kitchen and surrounded with lavender. Several
additional, informal dining spots can be found around the grounds,
positioned to enjoy the splendid outlook.
The pool area has an electric cover, and equally with children
in mind, several informal play areas with tipees are to be found at
various points around the grounds.
The views: Views from the pool and gardens
extend over vineyards to the village of Vaison-la-Romaine; from the
master bedroom the sun rises behind the Mont Ventoux.
Why we like it: The views alone over
prestigious Côtes du Rhone vineyards to the Roman town of
Vaison-la-Romaine, are enough to say this place has the 'wow'
factor. Additionally the interior is one-of-a-kind, fabulous
boutique design in the heart of Provence.
Nota bene 1: Due to an unprotected fountain in
the driveway children should be supervised.
Nota bene 2: outside of high season, a reduced
capacity option is available for up to 6 guests. In such cases the
guest cottage is unavailable.
