  2. Day 1 - 3 Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Arrive in Johannesburg to connect with your flight to Maun. Here the adventure begins with a light aircraft transfer to Tau Pan Camp where you'll spend three nights in the unspoilt wilderness of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The camp is positioned on the ridge of an ancient sand dune overlooking Tau Pan, in an area that is well known for spectacular starlit skies and stunning scenery. Nine purpose built eco-cottages which are fully solar-powered accommodate 18 guests. Each cottage is equipped with en-suite facilities, an outdoor shower and a small deck with sun lounger. The viewing deck overlooking the waterhole becomes the focus of the communal area with its nightly roaring fire.By morning guests reconvene on the viewing deck to enjoy a piping mug of tea, hearty porridge and warm muffins. Then it's straight out for a game drive with a two person team, one a professional guide and the other a tracker. The duo uses a tracker system so it's likely you'll see more game than on an average safari. Game can also be spotted on foot on a leisurely nature walk accompanied by a bushman who'll readily share his vast local knowledge. Day trips are also arranged to the surrounding pans noted for the herds of gemsbok and springbok and the famous Deception Valley, so-called for the misleading water affect that the bluey-clay earth takes on. Following your busy days cool off in the plunge pool or simply sit back on a lounger and take in the view.

  3. Day 4 - 5 Okavango Delta

A light aircraft delivers you to Pom Pom for the next two nights. Situated in the west of the Moremi Game Reserve the camp consists of nine traditional style tents on raised wooden decks. Part of the Okavango Delta, Pom Pom Island is surrounded by a lagoon full of water-lilies, hippos and birdlife, which can be enjoyed from the sizeable shaded terraces. All the tents have en-suite bathrooms with wash basin, flushable loos and showers. The earthy-toned main lodge creates a comfortable, warm atmosphere and the shared plunge pool is a great spot for relaxing. Abomaentices everyone at night for socialising with its open fire pit and comfy hammocks perfect for fireside stories.A great advantage of Pom Pom is that the surrounding landscape allows access to both water and land based activities all year round. Such activities include nature walks, boat excursions, fishing, bird-watching and guided game drives during the mornings, afternoons or at night time.

  4. Day 6 - 8 Selinda Reserve

From the Okavango Delta take a light aircraft transfer to Motswiri Camp for three nights. Situated in the Selinda Reserve the camp exclusively operates in excess of 120,000 acres.Mostly solar powered the camp has five en-suite double/twin tents each with shower, loo and large decked verandah. A communal dining and sitting area boasts a discreet sunbathing deck and inviting plunge pool, all with wonderful views and opportunities to watch the wildlife go about their business, namely bathing and drinking. The position of the camp on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, an ancient watercourse, lends itself to either land or water based activities. Take to amokoro(wooden canoe) or motorised boat to venture deep into the reserve and find an enviable spot for fishing or birding. If water levels are low you can also opt for game drives, riding, walking or you could consider a night fly camping. Fly camping is available during the dry season (typically April - November) and the rustic camping experience allows access to the more secluded areas of the reserve and excellent game viewing.
