  2. Day 1 Arrive in Pemba, Mozambique

    Transfer by helicopter to Azura at Quilalea. Quilalea Island is one of the southernmost islands in the Quirimbas Archipelago which lies north of mainland Pemba in Mozambique. On this small (86 acre) island, surrounded by the crystal clear waters of a fully protected marine sanctuary, Azura at Quilalea is spread along two of the four sandy beaches, a true island paradise. Nine seafront villas surrounded by indigenous gardens or natural bush stretch out along sunrise and sunset beach. The main areas at Quilalea include plenty of comfortable spaces to relax and unwind. Cuisine is focused on natural produce available locally with fresh fish and seafood dominating the menu. Dining is relaxed and laid back with special venues and romantic set ups. There is a wine cellar, swimming pool, Spa and well equipped watersports centre.

  3. Day 2 - 4 Pemba

    Choose from numerous land and sea activities, such as diving and snorkelling, white sandy beaches, island walks, fishing, dhow sailing, kayaking, picnics, dolphin and seasonal Humpback Whale watching.

  4. Day 5 Pemba - Ibo Island

    Transfer by helicopter to Ibo Island. Ibo Island lies in the Quirimbas Archipelago National Park in northern Mozambique. The lodge itself follows the style and architecture of the original ruins of the age - old plantations of Ibo Mansions. With metre thick coral and lime walls, wide verandas, and lofty ceilings bearing original beams, the structure is impressive. The nine rooms are simple yet elegant in design and each room comes with air conditioning, ceiling fans and its own en-suite bathroom with a large walk in shower. Furnished almost entirely with locally made furniture, the rooms are stylish, light and airy.

  5. Day 6 Ibo Island

    An impossible choice. Choose between being cast away on uninhabited Mogundula Island for a private picnic, kayaking through the largest mangrove forest in Africa or snorkelling and diving in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

  6. Day 7 Ibo Island - Vamizi Island

    Transfer by light aircraft to Vamizi Island.

  7. Day 8 - 12 Vamizi Island

    Land and sea activities abound, take a 'shipwrecked picnic' on a deserted beach, head into the bush to spot monkeys and tropical birds, try your hand at deep sea fishing, sea kayaking or sailing. Alternatively, simply relax on the pristine white beaches and enjoy the hospitality.

  8. Day 13 Depart

    Transfer by light aircraft to Pemba and onto Johannesburg. Connect for your onward flight home.
