Spend the day tracking lion on foot with your guide. This evening there is an optional sleep out. En-route to Kikali set up your bed roll and mossie net, light a camp fire and settle in for your night in the bush. This morning you will enjoy your gentle walking safari to Kakuli Camp. Named after Norman Carr, affectionately known as Kakuli - an old buffalo bull - and located at the confluence of the Luwi and Luangwa Rivers, the lodge has spectacular views of the surrounding area. Accommodation comprises four traditional canvas safari tents, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom and private patio overlooking a river where hippo and crocodile rest. The spacious rooms come with twin or king beds draped in quality linen and the lodge also features a central structure made from canvas and thatch. Built on a wooden deck overlooking grassy floodplains that lead down to the two rivers, guests can enjoy the fabulous game viewing opportunities as animals come down to the river to drink.

Spend the next two days enjoying a combination of river activities and day and night game drives. Known for its abundance of nocturnal predators, a night drive is a must.
