  4. Day 3 Calcutta - Bagdogra - Sangdyang Lee in Sikkim

    Fly to Bagdogra and continue to Sangdyang Lee in Sikkim and your authentic village home for the next few days. Accommodation in the villages of Sikkim is simple, yet charming and set in idyllic, off-the-beaten-track locations. Your guide will provide an introductory briefing, followed by drinks around the fire under the stars and then dinner.

  5. Day 4 Sangdyang Lee in Sikkim

    A memorable day walking and relaxing in the mountains. At dawn, walk up to your host family's 300 year old monastery. Your efforts will be rewarded with a view over the Pemayangste Hill and to the great Himalayan range. The sight of the sun rising through the fluttering prayer flags with Kanchenjunga as a backdrop is truly unforgettable. Continue to Rinchenpong Monastery where you may participate in early morning prayers before walking back to Sandyang Lee. You may take an optional afternoon walk to the the mountain village market of Rinchenpong.

    A full day's walk through fascinating scenery and small Himalayan towns to reach the village of Hee.

  9. Day 8 Darjeeling

    Leave the tranquility of the mountain villages for the city of Darjeeling and your 19th century colonial hotel, originally a boarding house for bachelor English and Scottish tea planters.

    Explore historic Darjeeling and take a narrow gauge railway to the Buddhist Ghoom Monastery.
