TREATMENTS AND ACTIVITIES
Whether you want to improve your fitness, lose weight or settle your mind, your programme will be tailored to your needs. Daily, early morning walks or runs are a great start to the day, waking your body up before perhaps a more strenuous 30-minute session in the gym or a yoga class. The rest of your day may include massages, a Watsu Pool session, colonic hydrotherapy or perhaps a breath work lesson (great for managing stress) with a locally-based free diver.
In addition to a number of treatment rooms, Chivitr has a Watsu pool, lap pool with sun deck, germanium bath, two colonic hydrotherapy suites, a light and airy gym and library. The nearest beach is a short walk away and there are plenty of nearby hills on which to improve your running or walking fitness.
Permanent staff include a naturopath, qualified massage therapists and a registered nurse. In addition, Chivitr works with a number of external practitioners including fitness trainers and a local free diver, who facilitates private breath work and Watsu sessions.
Chivitr has just eight, beautifully-designed suites so you can be sure of a calm and peaceful atmosphere and personal attention from the staff. Each room is different but all are spacious and comfortable and decorated with exquisite attention to detail, even down to the flooring. The three two-storey suites can accommodate up to three adults while the rest are doubles/twins.
Meals are served in the restaurant and, though guests tend to dress up a little for dinner, you're welcome to arrive for breakfast still in your sports gear, post workout. Dishes are well-executed and healthy with a choice of soups, salads and lean mains including vegetarian options. Pudding lovers will be thrilled by dairy-free panacotta and a ‘healthy' cacao tart.
