The Nisbet Plantation Beach Club is a romantic resort set in 30 acres of tropical gardens and is the only plantation house in the Caribbean that is located on the beach. Its beautifully restored Great House (circa 1778) crowns the famous Avenue of the Palms - a lush green lawn framed by palm trees majestically leading right down to the private golden beach and spacious beachfront. With just 36 air-conditioned cottages it is an intimate resort where guests can indulge in the finest service, amenities, and gourmet cuisine.
The resort has thirty six cottages, the six Upper Premier Junior Suites include a living room with a pull-out Queen sized sofa bed, spacious full bath with shower and a balcony overlooking the ocean. These suites are housed in three two-storey buildings closest to the ocean. While the Lower Deluxe Junior Suites are identical but have an open patio facing the ocean.
The ten Deluxe Garden Suites are found in semi-detached cottages and include a pull-out sofa bed, patio and spacious full bath. The fourteen Superior Rooms are also housed in semi-detached cottages and include a beautiful and spacious bedroom with a well-appointed bathroom (shower only) and a screened patio.
Children are welcome wherever you go on Nevis and there plenty of activities around the island to keep them busy including riding, sailing, hiking, cycling, quad bike tours, jeep tours, scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming and other water-sports. While at the resort children can take part in beach cricket, sand castle contests, crab racing, gingerbread baking and craft sessions. There is no Kids Club on the property but there is a babydsitting service, while children under 8 years are required to dine at 6pm in the Great House as a courtesy to the children and other guests. There is flexibility in the accommodation as the Deluxe Garden Suites can accommodate up to four people, families find these rooms ideal as they provide a separate sleeping space for parents and children.
FOR WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS
Romance and Nisbet go hand-in-hand. This is where, in 1787, Admiral Nelson met, fell in love with and married his wife Francis. The resort offers special romance packages that include a full, deluxe wedding ceremony with photographer, wedding cake and flowers or a more modest wedding which is free with a seven-night stay. For honeymooners there is a romantic getaway with a free bottle of champagne, candlelit dinner and a couple's massage.
