The shaded, wrap-around balconies that surround Tamarind Bay House are an enviable spot to while-away lazy Caribbean days. Swaying in the gentle breezes, the tropical plants that surround the house can be mentally ticked off: mahogany, banana, palms, sandbox and mango. The flash of a bananaquit or hummingbird might be seen amongst the foliage, or the timid fascination of a green vervet monkey, perched among the branches of a palm tree.
With just over 5,500 square feet of living space, the beautifully-styled property is spacious for two guests, but can accommodate up to six in total. Thoughtfully laid out, the property comes with three double bedrooms, of which two are air-conditioned, as well as three bathrooms, living room and a large chef’s kitchen. An air-conditioned entertainment room has WiFi, books, games and a vast library of movies.
Outdoors a 70-foot swimming pool is flanked with two dining areas and an outdoor shower, and just a short stroll away a quiet sandy beach, perfect for pelican-watching and snorkelling. Within ten minutes’ walk is the island’s showpiece, the 4-mile Pinney’s beach with water sports and beach-side restaurants.
