Far less busy than the sometimes crowded coastline of the eastern Côte d'Azur and St Tropez, this stretch of shoreline with its rocky outcrops and sandy coves, is a rare tranquil retreat. The village of Borme-les-Mimosas sits nearby, noted for its abundance of flowers which line its narrow medieval streets.


Contemporary in style and features, including full air-conditioning, the coastal villa has charm none-the-less: from a lovely country kitchen, leading to a breakfast terrace with sea views, to a grand open fireplace in the main living area. Bedrooms are divided between the ground and lower-ground floor and are comfortable, cool, and have smart en-suite bathrooms.

Both floors take maximum advantage of the view, with broad, French windows opening onto terraces. Grounds are beautifully maintained, with a lovely lavender-filled entrance and immaculate lawn areas surrounding the house. Further terraces can be found dotted around the grounds, whilst the pool area has a sea view and shaded day bed for those wanting to retreat from the southern sun. A pathway leads from the grounds to the beach below, where a beach restaurant serves simple snack meals during the summer months.

The Gardens: Extremely well-maintained gardens, consisting of lawns with neatly-kept borders, have plenty of shady corners for relaxing and taking in the splendid ocean views. Lines of lavender provide a warm Provencal welcome while vineyards line the surrounding countryside.

The Views: Ocean views from the gardens, dining terrace and pool area, are magnificent, calming and atmospheric, taking in both the Fort de Brégançon and the Ile de Porquerolles.
