Encircling the island, the Corfu Trail is a 220km way-marked hiking path which winds its way between almond groves and stone villages, as well as in part, the UNESCO-recognised site of Corfu old town, to reveal some of the finest vistas on the island. Typically completed in sections, the trail can be joined almost immediately behind Morus, leading to some of the most dramatic scenery on the island.
The one-bedroom Corfu villa is located on the edge of a traditional hamlet, and a five-minute drive (fifteen-minute walk) from a village with two traditional tavernas and a café. Within a 20-minute drive is the coast, with beaches, restaurants and villages, whilst some 45 minutes to the south is the UNESCO-recognised old town of Corfu.
A charming and well-presented little property, perfect for a couple looking for a country bolthole, well-positioned to discover the most scenic regions of the island. A traditional façade of stone, with stepped terraces above almond and olive groves, has been sensitively and tastefully restored into a comfortable and well-equipped retreat.
The spacious bedroom is air-conditioned, with windows opening over the surrounding grounds, capturing the fragrant scents of lavender and wild herbs. The kitchen is fully-equipped, whilst the living room (with WiFi) opens through French windows onto a surrounding decked balcony, perfect for al fresco dining.
