  2. Day 1 Arrive in Manaus

    Fly from Sao Paulo or Rio to the Amazon gateway city of Manaus, where your comfortable hotel beside a tributary of the mighty river awaits and you can get a good rest before your journey into the jungle tomorrow.

  3. Day 2 Journey into the jungle

    Today you will be collected for your private adventure to your lodge deep in the Amazon Anavilhanas Archipelago - a national park comprising over 400 islands. You can choose to travel by boat and road (approximately three hours) or seaplane (30 minutes). Anavilhanas lies immersed in greenery; a small and very special lodge that provides a very comfortable base for exploring this magnificent region.

  4. Day 3 - 4 Amazon adventure

    The next two days will include a variety of shared guided excursions to explore the surroundings. You will have chance to see pink river dolphins, canoe the numerous lakes, channels and islands, experience the nocturnal sights and sounds of the rainforest, and enjoy piranha fishing and forest trails.

  5. Day 5 Fly to the Pantanal

    Travel by land or seaplane back to Manaus, where you may be able to take a flight to Campo Grande and continue your journey to the Pantanal. If flight schedules don't allow, we will arrange another night in Manaus and you will fly to Campo Grande the following day. Barra Mansa has a privileged location amidst one of the best preserved areas in the Pantanal, the world's largest wetland, home to a great variety of wildlife including colourful birds. A small, family-run lodge, it provides and authentic and wonderfully immersive experience.

  6. Day 6 - 7 Pantanal Safari

    You will havetwo full days with one of Barra Mansa's knowledgeable naturalist guides, heading out in search of incredible wildlife. The Pantanal is bursting with beautiful birds, reptiles including caiman, antelope, tapir, capybara, as well as a number of elusive jaguar. We recommend experiencing the wildlife through a variety of riding, boat and hiking excursions.

  7. Day 8 Travel home

    Bid your hosts farewell and travel back to the airport in Campo Grande for your onward flight. You may like to extend your holiday and head to the great city of Rio de Janeiro or alternatively spend some time relaxing on the beautiful Atlantic coast before you head home.
