Elewana Tortilis sits close to Kenya’s southern border in the Amboseli National Park, one of Africa’s richest expanses of wilderness. Watched over by the imposing mass of Mount Kilimanjaro, the camp is surrounded by abundant habitats which include sulphur springs, dry lake beds, woodland and savannah. This diversity makes the park one of the finest places to see some of the continent’s most charismatic creatures.
While you might spot creatures such as lions, leopards, zebras, kudus and crocodiles, the real stars are the more than 1000 elephants who call Amboseli home. Camp guides will lead you on expeditions to get to know these mighty beasts, sharing their years of experience living and working alongside them. You’ll head out on game drives for incredible close encounters, in specially adapted open-topped vehicles designed for uninterrupted observation and photography of the elephants and other animals you see. You can also take guided walking tours through the awe-inspiring landscape, allowing you to learn more about the flora and fauna of the region.
