THE SEASON AHEAD
Spring is always considered to be a time of renewal, and for me that feeling has particular resonance in Ibiza. As winter melts away, the island’s wildflowers begin to bloom, the days are getting longer, and activities such as hiking or exploring historic towns are particularly rewarding in the gentle temperatures.
By April and May, people are already enjoying Ibiza’s plethora of atmospheric beach bars and outdoor dining at the many fabulous restaurants, but the feel is blissfully more relaxed than during the peak summer months. It feels like a completely different island! For me, spring and early summer are truly the best-kept secrets of Ibiza, so I recommend planning early to see the island at its very best.

WHERE & WHEN
Where are the best places to stay in Ibiza?
We recommend staying in northern Ibiza if you are looking to embrace complete peace and quiet, and to reconnect with nature. We can organise a blissfully secluded villa rental close to the pristine cove of Cala Xarraca, for example, that is surrounded by tranquil pine forest and invites you to slow the pace completely.
Those looking to be closer to some of the island's well-known towns, beaches and cultural attractions should consider the south coast. A stay near Ibiza Town or Cala Jondal will offer a great mix of activities, beach access, but also plenty of time for relaxation back at your villa. This is also the case with the northwest, close to San Antonio. Here you can sample the town’s fabulous restaurants and legendary nightlife, retreating to the serenity of your villa when you’ve had your fill. Families are also well-catered for in many places on the island, with numerous spacious villas positioned in child-friendly locations close to beaches and other attractions.
What is the best time to visit Ibiza for a villa rental?
The booking season for luxury villas in Ibiza typically runs from April to October, and the best time to visit within that very much depends on what you are hoping to experience from the island.
For those in search of the calmer Ibiza (as well as highly attractive villa prices), we highly recommend visiting the island either in spring or autumn. In spring, the island bursts into bloom, making this a fabulous time to go hiking or enjoy all the attractions of Ibiza Town without the peak summer heat and crowds. Temperatures often sit between 20C and 25C (68 – 77F) in April and May, meaning outdoor dining and relaxing by the pool is still very enjoyable.
By June, temperatures deliver a wonderful taste of summer on the island’s beaches, before the European school holidays begin and the peak season crowds arrive. If you have no choice but to visit in July and August, we can certainly recommend some quieter villas that offer complete peace and seclusion. Alternatively, consider a stay in September or October. Days will still be pleasantly warm (25C / 77F on average), the sea conditions are perfect for swimming, but a more relaxed feeling is returning to the island.
