The main attraction of luxury holidays to Switzerland is undoubtedly the spectacular mountain scenery. However, there is so much more to this enchanting country with a wealth of cultural attractions and fantastic outdoor activities to enjoy.
Whilst on holiday in Switzerland, you can visit glorious towns and cities such as the capital city of Bern, Montreux, Geneva, Lausanne, and Zurich for an array of excellent galleries and museums, beautiful historic buildings, and popular music festivals. For fresh-air lovers and the more active visitors, lakeside and mountain resorts such as Grindelwald and Interlaken offer a plethora of outdoor pursuits all year round.
Switzerland, fresh, well-organised and picturesque, is renowned for its long history of watch-making and it produces 50% of the world's luxury timepieces each year. Leading brands originating in Switzerland include Longines, Patek Philippe, Rolex, TAG Heuer and Tissot. The country is famous too for its high-quality chocolate and, as a nation, the Swiss consume the most chocolate per head of any population in the world.
