Prized by the Venetian Empire during the Renaissance, Zakynthos sits furthest south in the picturesque and sheltered chain of Ionian islands. This privileged position blesses the island (also referred to as Zante) with a blissful Mediterranean climate and warm, azure seas during long stretches of the European summer and early autumn.
Modern day Zakynthos is an island of two halves. While a clutch of lively resorts, centred predominantly around Laganas in the south, attract hedonists of all ages, the island’s interior and north could not be more different. Tiny, white-washed monasteries and centuries-old vineyards are scattered along the foothills of the island’s green central spine and, by the time you reach the northern shores of Zakynthos, the feeling is of having been transported to another island entirely.
It is on these northern shores where our finest luxury Zakynthos villas are to be found. The tranquil port village of Agios Nikolaos and the sheltered coves that wind gently south from here offer some of island’s most picturesque and unspoilt spots for swimming, snorkelling and unhurried lunches in tranquil local tavernas. We have hand-picked a tempting range of villas in Zakynthos with private pools, all selected for their enviable locations, superb facilities, attentive owners and local charm. Our professional villas team are also on hand throughout the process to ensure that your every detail is taken care of during your memorable Zakynthos escape.
