  1. Arrive
  2. Day 1 Arrive in Winnipeg

    On arrival in Winnipeg you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the evening, which lies at the confluence of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. The day is free for you to relax after your journey before dinner at your hotel with your guide and fellow group members.

  3. Day 2 Travel into Churchill

    Depart early morning on a flight to Churchill. There you will be met and taken by fixed wing aircraft to the lodge, which lies deep in the Arctic. The scenic flight will take you out over Churchill River and over the rugged Hudson Bay, with the chance to see wildlife such as wolves, caribou, seals and even polar bears below. You will be welcomed at the lodge and given an orientation and an introduction to travelling in polar bear country. The rest of the evening is yours to relax and settle in.

  4. Day 3 - 5 Polar Bears in the Tundra

    The next few days will be spent seeking out the best photo opportunities on long days out on the tundra and along the coastline looking out for polar bears as well as caribou and Arctic fox. There will be the chance to get excellent ground-level photographs of all Arctic wildlife, with stunning backdrops including the vast tundra and the deep blue sea against the white of the snow; the shoreline provides great opportunities for photographing bears on the ice. In the evenings, there are slide-shows and informal lectures back at the lodge, as well as the chance to photograph the Northern Lights if they make an appearance. You will be in the safe, knowledgeable hands of an experienced guide, and flexible mealtimes will mean that good photography is always the priority. Lunch could often be interrupted for a great polar bear sighting!

  5. Day 6 Churchill - Winnipeg

    The time has come to travel back to Winnipeg, but not before some time in the frontier town of Churchill. Your bags will be kept safely for you to explore and dine in Churchill at your leisure. In the afternoon, there is the opportunity to try dog sledding or take a helicopter tour. It is advisable to book through your guide so that you will be back in time for an early dinner before your flight back to Winnipeg. On arrival in Winnipeg you will be driven to your hotel for the night.

  6. Day 7 Travel home

    After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
