THE HIDE

Nestled away in a ten-minute drive from the main lodge, this romantically rustic double-decked treehouse is the ultimate escape, where the only neighbours are the elephant and giraffe wandering the plains. Larger parties can opt for a stay in Tom's Little Hide, a self-contained camp that accommodates up to ten guests, complete with a private pool, chef, guide and vehicle (plus fantastic waterhole views).

There is no such thing as an average day at The Hide, with each sunrise bringing new adventures and experiences. Head out on a game drive through acacia-flanked vlei (seasonal wetlands) or dense teak forest in search elephant, lion and impala. Alternatively, experience the flora and fauna from a different perspective on a guided bush walk, or on a visit to the ground-level wildlife hide. Bird watchers can look out for the more than 400 exotic species that call Hwange home, and the option to seek out nocturnal creatures of the bush on a night drive adds another fascination dimension to your experience.
