THE SEASON AHEAD
I love the gentle transition from spring to early summer in Paros – one of my favourite times to visit the island. People don’t always realise that swathes of Paros are covered in rolling evergreen hills, particularly in the south. This means that, by spring, the countryside thrums in shades of earthy green, sprinkled with the pinks, whites, and yellows of wildflowers such as anemones, chamomile, and wild orchids.
Paros offers plenty of activities at this time of year. Take a morning stroll through delightful Lefkes, and stop for coffee in a sunny square. Enjoy fresh seafood in the harbourside tavernas of Aliki and Piso Livadi. You can observe local life playing out around you without the busier pace that comes with the arrival of July and August.
If it is relaxation you seek, May and June in Paros definitely still delivers. You can claim a stretch of sand all to yourself on the island’s quieter beaches. And, with temperatures climbing as June progresses, the island’s calm Aegean waters might start to beckon. Whatever you have in mind for your time in Paros, a villa stay offers the luxury of having it all – and without the crowds.

WHERE & WHEN
Where are the best areas for villas in Paros?
We recommend a villa vacation in the south of Paros if you are seeking peace, exclusivity, and a taste of the unspoiled Cyclades. The feel here is quieter than in the north of the island, the villas offer generous amounts of space, and you can visit some of the island's best beaches.
Renting a luxury villa on the southeast coast of Paros provides uninterrupted sea views, access to pristine beaches, and opportunities to explore traditional fishing villages such as Aliki. You can also take advantage of the boat cruises that depart from here and offer snorkelling and island hopping in calm, turquoise waters. In the southwest, we can recommend a secluded villa hideaway just a short distance from charming Piso Livadi and the fine sandy beach at Logaras.
When is the best time to visit Paros for a villa holiday?
The best time to visit Paros is between May and October. May is peaceful as spring makes way for summer, with temperatures around 22C (72F) but often feeling warmer in the sun. By June, temperatures sit between 25 – 28C (77 – 82F) – the perfect time to start enjoying the island’s beaches.
July and August are the most popular times to visit the island, with temperatures reaching 30C (86F). Though there are more visitors at this time of year, you can hide away in a luxury villa and enjoy complete peace and privacy. Summer in Paros is perfect for beach days, poolside relaxation, and outdoor dining late into the evening.
September and October bring a quieter side to Paros once more. Temperatures can still be pleasantly warm – around 25C (77F) on average in September. Swimming in the sea is also very inviting at this time of year.
