I really enjoy visiting Paros because it delivers a little taste of everything that is so special about the Cyclades, but in a blissfully laidback way. The rambling, white-washed villages that look like something out of a watercolour painting. The delightful little harbours where locals untangle their fishing nets in the late morning sun. The unspoilt coastline lapped by gentle Aegean waters. In fact, there is a beach (or three) to suit every possible persuasion in Paros! From the sheltered coves where endless turquoise waters instantly calm the soul, to the kitesurfers havens where you can kick back and watch the experts glide above the swell, you are sure to find your perfect stretch of sand here.

On the island there are rugged untamed areas for those who seek them, but also polished towns like Naoussa which offers a wealth of exceptional restaurants, and a cocktail bar for every night of the week. And that is the beauty of Paros. You set the pace for your own perfect Greek island escape, but with the freedom to change it up as much as you want. What’s not to love about that?
