Day 2 Siem Reap & Temples of Angkor
Join your private guide and head to the East Gate to explore Ta Phrohm. You may recognise this atmospheric ruin from its starring role in numerous films, its towers, corridors and walls embraced by the encircling jungle roots. You'll have a couple of hours to explore Ta Prohm, as well as the multi-faced towers of the Bayon, before a picnic breakfast. You'll collect bicycles to explore the temple complex further - the flat shaded trails through the jungle are perfect for exploring by bicycle.
You'll take lunch in a private Khmer house before an afternoon at leisure - either continuing to explore by bike or returning to your hotel to indulge in the Shinta Mani Spa, where treatments use traditional herbs to relax and restore the senses. This evening enjoy a performance at the remarkable Phare Circus, a social enterprise which provides education in performing arts to young adults.

Continue to travel southeast out of Siem Reap to one of the largest and least-visited villages on the Tonle Sap Lake, Kompong Khleang. This morning take a short flight from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville and a two and half hour drive into the jungles of the Cardamom Mountains. Your journey culminates in a spectacular zipline ride straight into your luxury camp - the extraordinary Bensley Collection - Shinta Mani Wild, the latest masterpiece created by designer Bill Bensley in a private nature sanctuary. You’ll stay in one of only 16 custom designed tents, comprising a generously proportioned living and sleeping area and a shaded outdoor terrace with sofas and a traditional rolltop bath perched over the river below.

Day 5 - 6 Cardamom Mountains
You’ll have two full day to explore the 400-acre river valley on board one of the Bensley-designed expedition boats to watch conservation in action in one of Cambodia’s few remaining habitats for wild bears, gibbons, elephants and tigers. Guests can join rangers and researchers as they study the forest and the wildlife.
Shinta Mani supports an active foundation dedicated to conservation and community projects, including provision of clean water, dental treatment in schools, microfinancing and support for farming initiatives. Should you wish to contribute to the foundation, $150 supports the build of a water well: Time permitting it would be possible to visit ‘your’ well and witness its benefit to a local community.
Back at camp, relax in the Landing Zone Bar or perhaps in the Boulders Spa. Dinner is at the Waterfall Restaurant with Khmer cuisine derived from locally produced ingredients.
