Shakti Prana marks a new chapter for Shakti Himalaya, the pioneering group responsible for some of India’s finest walking journeys. Their spectacular new lodge, called Panchachuli, replaces the much-loved Shakti 360° Leti, which was carefully dismantled in 2024 and lovingly rebuilt using much of its original stone, timber and glass. This new location takes the lodge back to a place of serene and untrammelled natural beauty, as well as opening the gaze to an even wider Himalayan panorama in the glorious Kumaon Valley.
Approaching Shakti Prana, a stunning and contemporary mountain hideaway awaits. Seven impeccably designed stone-and-glass villas face the snow-capped Panchachuli peaks and Nanda Devi. The original lodge’s reclaimed materials have been paired with brass basins, rain showers, and clean-lined furniture that allows the landscape to dominate. Each villa has a wood-burning stove, floor-to-ceiling windows, and private terrace that open directly onto the invigorating views of forested slopes and distant summits.
