Day 1 Arrive in Mumbai
Arrive in Mumbai today, where you will be met and assisted through immigration and baggage reclaim. A representative will then welcome you in the arrivals hall and assist you with your private transfer to the hotel. The Taj Mahal Palace is the perfect base to unwind after your journey. You can take afternoon tea in the Sea Lounge, sip cocktails in the Harbour Bay bar, or enjoy a relaxing treatment in the spa.

Day 2 Private tour of Mumbai
Set out today on a private guided tour of Mumbai’s highlights and hidden gems. Our early morning tour shows you a completely different side of the city. Milk vendors weave through near-empty streets, while bakeries dispatch fresh bread across the city. At Sassoon Docks, the Koli fishing community - Mumbai’s original inhabitants - return with their overnight catch. After time to watch the comings and goings, you’ll move on to the city’s flower market, a riot of marigolds and jasmine. Your morning tour ends at Crawford Market, one of Mumbai’s oldest bazaars. You’ll then return to your hotel for breakfast.
Later this morning, you’ll rejoin your guide to explore the historic heart of Mumbai. Begin at the Gateway of India, overlooking the harbour, before continuing into Kala Ghoda, an atmospheric district filled with galleries, bustling cafés, and architectural contrasts. Pass the Bombay High Court and the University of Mumbai, where Gothic spires rise above bustling streets. You may also wish to take in Mani Bhavan, a powerful museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, housed in the residence where he stayed during his visits to the city. Your tour concludes at Victoria Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India’s most extraordinary railway stations.

Day 3 To Gir National Park
This morning you’ll be driven to the airport for your flight to Rajkot. Upon arrival, you’ll travel in a private vehicle into the heart of rural Gujarat. Observe the landscape gradually transform into dry forest and open grassland as you approach Gir National Park, the last refuge of the Asiatic lion. Once found across much of northern India, these remarkable animals now survive only here. The park itself is a mosaic of teak forest, scrub and riverine habitats, supporting a rich diversity of wildlife. Arrive at your lodge and settle into your peaceful surroundings on the edge of the forest.

Days 4 - 5 Gir National Park safaris
Over the next two days, you’ll explore the Gir National Park on early morning and afternoon game drives with an expert guide. With one of the highest concentrations of Asiatic lions in the world, the experience of tracking these animals in their natural habitat in Gir is very special. The park is also home to a range of other wildlife including leopards, sambar, antelope and a variety of birds. The open terrain and relatively sparse vegetation make for excellent visibility. In between game drives you could set out on a guided jungle walk, treat yourself to a massage in the spa, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings.

Day 6 To Delhi
You will be driven back to Rajkot this morning for your onward flight to Delhi. On arrival in the capital, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The evening is at leisure.

Day 7 Travel to Leh, capital of Ladakh
Take the short transfer back to the airport for your flight to Leh, the capital of the Ladakh region perched high in the Indian Himalayas. The flight is an experience in itself, delivering spectacular views of snow-capped peaks. Arriving in Leh you will be met and driven to your hotel. The afternoon is free for you to relax and begin acclimatising to the higher altitude.

Day 8 Exploring Leh
Today is free for you to explore Leh and its surrounding monasteries. An optional early morning visit to Thiksey Monastery offers the chance to attend morning prayers, accompanied by the low murmur of chanting monks and the sound of ceremonial horns. Set dramatically on a hillside, the monastery is one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and houses an impressive statue of Maitreya, the Future Buddha. The views across the Indus Valley are equally striking. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or further explore Leh at your own pace.

Day 9 Travel into the realm of the snow leopards
Departing Leh today, the landscape becomes increasingly remote and rugged. A scenic journey of around two hours takes you into the high-altitude valley of Lungmar. At 12,000 feet, your comfortable camp here provides an extraordinary sense of isolation and scale. You are also now in a prime position to begin your search for the snow leopard, one of the world’s most elusive predators.

Days 10 - 13 Searching for snow leopards in Hemis National Park
Spend the next four days exploring Hemis National Park in search of the snow leopard. Accompanied by expert trackers and naturalists, you’ll travel across stark and beautiful landscapes, scanning the ridgelines and valleys for movement. While sightings are never guaranteed, the experience of being immersed in such a remote and dramatic environment is a memorable one. Along the way, you may encounter ibex, Himalayan blue sheep, Tibetan wolves, and an array of birdlife adapted to the high Himalaya. Evenings are spent back at camp, sharing stories of the day’s explorations under the endless night skies.

Day 14 To Ranthambore via Delhi
Leaving your snow leopard camp behind, retrace your steps back to Leh in time for your flight to Delhi. From here, you’ll travel south through rural Rajasthan to Ranthambore. Once the hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, Ranthambhore is now one of India’s most renowned national parks, known for its population of Bengal tigers and its evocative landscape of lakes, forest, and hidden monuments. Your base for the days ahead is a luxurious Relais & Châteaux tented camp located on the edge of the national park.

Days 15 - 16 Safaris in Ranthambore National Park
Over the next two days, set out on morning and afternoon safaris in search of tigers and other wildlife in the Ranthambore National Park. The park’s varied terrain includes open grassland, dense forest, and rocky outcrops, creating a dramatic backdrop for wildlife watching. In addition to tigers, Ranthambore is home to leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and plentiful birdlife. Between drives, unwind back at your luxury camp. You can relax by the pool, take a soothing spa treatment, or perhaps set out on a guided walk to Ranthambore Fort.

Day 17 To Shahpura Bagh
Today you’ll continue your Rajasthan travels with a relaxed journey to Shahpura Bagh. Once the summer residence of the local rulers, Shahpura is a peaceful heritage estate set amidst gardens, lakes, and farmland. Enjoy a free afternoon to recover from the adventures of the previous days, perhaps exploring the grounds or simply relaxing in the tranquil surroundings.

Day 18 To Jawai
This morning, resume your journey by road to Jawai, a striking region defined by granite hills, scattered villages and wide-open landscapes. This is one of the few places in India where leopards live in close proximity to local communities, creating a unique and fascinating wildlife experience. Arrive at your luxury camp and enjoy the rest of the afternoon to settle into your new surroundings.

Days 19 - 20 Leopard safaris in Jawai
Over the next two days, set out on guided safaris with experienced trackers in search of Jawai’s resident leopard population. In addition to searching for these elusive and magnificent cats, you may be able to spot antelope, boar, and some of the region’s 245 recorded species of bird. In between your safari drives, there is time to relax or explore the surrounding countryside and villages on foot or by bicycle, gaining a fascinating glimpse of life in rural Rajasthan.

Day 21 To Mumbai & depart
This morning, you’ll bid farewell to Jawai and take a private transfer to Udaipur for your flight to Mumbai. On arrival, connect with your onward international flight.
