Day 1 Arrive in Surabaya
Land in Surabaya on the island of Java and be privately transferred to your hotel at the gateway to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.

Day 2 Sunrise on Mount Bromo
An early start before dawn today reaps unforgettable rewards. You will be driven towards Penanjakan Mountain, where you can enjoy an hour's walk to the hidden gem of Argo Wulan - a secret mountain viewpoint known to very few. Arriving just before sunrise, take in the breathtaking panorama with the Argopuro mountains next to the smoking Bromo crater with a backdrop of Mount Semeru, which erupts every 30 minutes. Sip hot Javan coffee admiring the views, before returning to your hotel in time for a delicious breakfast and a day at leisure.

Day 3 Helicopter flight over Mount Ijen to Bali
Bidding farewell to Java today you will be driven to Surabaya airport. Here you will board your helicopter for the awe-inspiring flight over Mount Ijen, a prominent part of the Pacific Ring of Fire renowned for its spectacular sulphur lake. Fly on to Bali, making a brief refuelling stop, before arriving at the luxurious Amankila in Manggis, your home for the next three nights.

Day 4 At leisure at Amankila, night hike
Spend today relaxing in the grounds of Amankila, set at the foot of Mount Agung and boasting splendid ocean views. Unwind by the swimming pool or perhaps in the spa, conserving your energy for tonight's hike up to the top of Mount Agung, departing after dinner. You will be driven to the starting point and, once equipped with hiking poles and headlamps, set off on your adventure. You will have the choice of two routes, depending on your fitness level; one takes you to the crater rim, the other to the summit. You can expect to be walking for approximately eight hours.

Day 5 Sunrise on Mount Agung
Having trekked through the night, seeing the twinkling lights of Bali below you, you will arrive at Mount Agung's summit in time to see the sun rise. From the peak you will be able to see Mount Batur, Mount Abang and Mount Rinjani. Head down to base camp for breakfast and then continue on to your start point, arriving at around midday. On the way back to Amankila, stop for a delicious lunch in a local restaurant with views of rice fields and Mount Agung in the distance. Once back at the hotel, enjoy a leisurely afternoon to recover from your endeavours.

Day 6 Scenic helicopter flight to Lombok
Your guide will meet you after breakfast and escort you to your awaiting helicopter in nearby Ulakan Village. Take a scenic flight over Mount Rinjani whilst learning more about these remarkable surroundings from the vulcanologist. Upon arrival in Lombok you will be driven the short distance to your hotel on the northwest coast, overlooking the Gili Islands.

Day 7 At leisure on Lombok
Enjoy a full day of relaxation at your luxury beachfront resort in Lombok. Stroll along Medana Beach's powdery white sands, unwind by the Sira's infinity pool, or take a boat out for snorkelling around the Gili Islands.

Day 8 Helicopter to Moyo Island
Your helicopter will collect you from The Oberoi this morning and take you on an exhilarating flight over the magnificent Tambora volcano on Sumbawa Island. Land on Moyo Island and spend three nights at Amanwana, whose 12 decadent tents are dotted between the lush jungle and the glistening Flores Sea, with unparalleled access to some of the best scuba diving and snorkelling in Indonesia.

Day 9 Swimming with whale sharks
Board your day boat from Amanwana's jetty and cruise through beautiful Saleh Bay to the east of Moyo Island. Here, the plankton-rich waters are home to the second largest population of whale sharks in the world, and you can swim and dive with these endangered, magical creatures.

Day 10 At leisure at Amanwana
Enjoy a blissfully relaxed final day at Amanwana. For tired muscles, there's the open-air spa sanctuary offering Aman signature rituals and locally inspired treatments. Should you find yourself getting restless, you could set out on a jungle treks, go mountain biking, or explore hidden waterfalls.
