Jayavarman

Foodies will equally find themselves at home onboard the Jayavarman. An open kitchen facility allows guests to admire the journey of their meal from preparation to plate. For a deeper immersion, gastronomic excursions immerse you in the produce of the region and cookery classes allow you to get hands on and discover the techniques of Khmer cuisine. For a truly indulgent experience, sample the ship’s British High Tea – the perfect way to round off the afternoon.

There is plenty to see experience outside of the gastronomic sphere. Meet the local mat makers who live on an island in the river and learn their fascinating way of life or discover the many different uses of rice, from rice paper to rice cookies. Should you wish to simply relax and take in your beautiful surroundings, the upper deck’s inviting swimming pool offers the ideal place to cool down. Alternatively, there is no better place to absorb the passing Mekong views than on a comfortable longer or in the tempting jacuzzi. It is the Apsara Spa where relaxation really comes into its own, however, where soothing massages provide the perfect way to unwind following a morning exploring the river. For an experience unique to this part of the world, a monk blessing onboard the ship is certain to immerse you in the region’s fascinating culture.
