Opened in 2002, the lodge is Kiwi owned and operated, and a proud member of Luxury Lodges of New Zealand, providing rooms for up to 27 guests. Exquisite accommodation comes in the form of 10 suites and lodge rooms, all with lake and mountain views, and two cosy log cabins provide the ideal base for families or groups of friends. The ground floor of the lodge is home to a 2-bedroom lodge studio, ideal for younger families and for total privacy, the Owner’s Residence is a 4-bedroom cabin in the lodge’s grounds with its own helipad and access to everything the main property offers.
With no restaurants for miles, a real emphasis is put on the all-inclusive gourmet dining experience here. Based on the farm to table concept, dishes are served using the freshest ingredients sourced from local suppliers and the lodge’s own vegetable garden, as well as catch of the day from the fiords and locally reared meet, all paired with fine wines from Central Otago wineries.
A host of activities will keep the most restless of guests occupied and Milford and Doubtful Sound are ideal for a day’s cruising, on a shared or private basis.
