Equidistant from Arles and Avignon, Les Rochers is ideally situated only minutes from Saint Rémy de Provence and in walking distance of one of France's most beautiful villages, Les Baux de Provence. Overlooking the dramatic Alpilles plateau, the craggy outcrop of the village of Les Baux is one of France's most visited villages and not without reason.


An impressive medieval castle dominates the village while the cobblestoned streets are full of delicious restaurants, some with views extending all the way to the Mediterranean sea. Built into the rocks, which feature prominently within the interiors to dramatic effect, also helping to keep the property cool there are a choice of two terraces from which to appreciate the sprawling and expansive views below. Lazy days can be spent around the kidney shaped pool, strolling back to the village for a hearty Provencal lunch, retreating to the terraces and fire-pit in the evening to admire this most serene and starlit of settings. Part of the house is built into the rocks and dates back to the Roman times. Authentic features such as stone walling and exposed beams have been preserved, while high quality interiors and contemporary art add a modern feel to the property.


Ground floor (pool level)

Both bedrooms benefit from direct access to the pool terrace and summer kitchen. To ensure privacy for guests in these rooms, one bedroom offers external access.

The open-plan living room and dining area on the upper terrace feature a small, yet functional corner kitchen.

First floor (upper terrace)

  • Bedroom 3: Master bedroom with queen size bed, sofa, open fireplace and a private terrace. Adjacent Roman style bathroom has a large bathtub, shower and separate WC.

Views: A luxury golf course, ancient roman ruins and the dramatic Alpilles mountain range. One of the best views of any villa!

Why we like it: A unique property within walking distance uphill to Les Baux de Provence and only 6 miles to Saint Remy de Provence.

Separate Annex: Provides two separate bedrooms, a living/dining/kitchenette and a shared bathroom. Suitable for staff or children only. (At addittional cost)

Gardens: Partly enclosed, a traditional Provençal garden with fruit trees and fragrant plants.
