Villa Ardesia

Villa Ardesia is the result of deliberate design and a deep-rooted connection to Lake Como’s elemental beauty. Natural materials such as wood and slate dominate the material palette, grounding the space in the local landscape while offering tactile richness. Furnishings are elegant but not fussy – think crisp linen, sculptural lighting, and handcrafted pieces. Vast glass windows and doors along the lake side of the house opens onto views that stretch across the water and beyond.

Inside the kitchen is fitted with modern appliances, though its greatest asset is the outlook: cook with one eye on the water, dine with the windows open to the breeze. The living area is a single space, where kitchen, dining, and sitting area blend seamlessly into one another forming the heart of the house. This open-plan design spills out to the terrace and pool, just steps away, creating the ideal indoor-outdoor living.

Each of the four bedrooms feels like a private suite, with large beds, subtle lighting, and generous en-suite bathrooms. The layout provides moments of privacy – perfect for groups of friends or extended families travelling together. Though the interiors lean modern, they carry a softness that makes the space feel lived-in, never staged.

Guests are ferried around with ease via a private golf buggy, which connects the villa to the owner’s private pier – an arrangement that feels both exclusive and effortless. The owners, who also run a nearby hotel and restaurant, bring a polished sense of hospitality to Villa Ardesia. Boat trips can be arranged directly from the private pier, and while guests are welcome to explore further, many find themselves simply watching the light move across the water from the poolside loungers.

• Bedroom 2: West wing Master – King bed (1.7m x 2m) that can be turned into a twin, with lake views and direct access to a separate terrace, bathtub in the room and en-suite bathroom with shower
• Bedroom 3: West wing room – Twin or double, en-suite bathroom with a shower

FIRST FLOOR

• Bedroom 4: East wing Master – King bed (1.7m x 2m), that can be turned into a twin, with lake views and en-suite bathroom with shower
• Bedroom 5: West wing Master – King bed (1.7m x 2m), that can be turned into a twin, direct access to the ground floor terrace with lake views and en-suite bathroom with shower
