Built around a traditional courtyard, this 14th century house and tower was converted into a convent for 400 years before being recently renovated to an exceptional standard creating a charming Tuscan retreat. The villa is close to a local church and within twenty minutes walking distance to Panzano. The medieval Bell Tower and Church are worth a visit, the Church has stunning examples of Roman architecture while the Bell Tower's medieval structures look over the village and countryside beyond. After this, amble through the streets of Panzano exploring the local Italian restaurants and shops.
This contemporary house sits atop one of Tuscany’s many verdant rolling hills and has breathtaking views over the gnarled vines in the surrounding fields and to the bucolic countryside beyond. On the estate itself the beautifully positioned vegetable garden and orchard provide a constant source of fresh organic produce.
La Regina is built around a courtyard with comfortable sofas to sit back and listen to the quiet bustle in the villa, or enjoy the soaring birds above. All the rooms throughout the villa afford views of both the courtyard and the Renaissance scenery around the estate.
The house has been renovated with the utmost thought and style, each room retains a hint of its former life through the wood beamed ceilings or stone walls while incorporating sleek lines and minimalist modern design. The bedrooms are all air conditioned and are spacious, airy and light in design, creating the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Five of the six bathrooms are ensuite and have large showers, double vanities with stand-alone baths in a couple. The kitchen, a former pigsty, has marble kitchen tops, an Aga, cookbooks in abundance and all the modern amenities that are needed to make a feast to remember.
The pièce de resistance of any trip is quality time spent with loved ones while unwinding from the world outside, and La Regina provides different indoor and outdoor al fresco areas to sit and lay out with a book or relive the day's adventures. In the garden the sun loungers invite you to relax and spend your days enjoying the Tuscan vista and doing laps in the azure waters of the magnesium infinity pool. There is also an outdoor hot tub and a pool house with changing rooms and showers to freshen up in. The villa also has a badminton court, an air conditioned gym, infrared & Swedish sauna as well as four electric bikes and one pedal bike.
