Food here follows the same philosophy. A private chef prepares whatever the land offers, be it a bowl of pasta with truffles or slow-roasted vegetables straight from the local gardens. Dine under the stars, or in the terrace’s dappled shade, accompanied by nothing more than birdsong and the soft hush of olive leaves.
Though L’Eremo feels utterly private, the towns of Assisi, Spello, and Montefalco are just a short drive away—should you wish to stir from your reverie.
Inside L’Eremo, the interiors are anchored by earthy materials—polished cement underfoot, limewashed walls, and reclaimed timbers—punctuated by elegant flourishes: glass lighting, copper sculpture, pastel-hued furnishings. It's a space that invites touch as much as it draws the eye.
The layout is intuitive, with each space flowing into the next. Step into the entrance foyer and you're immediately drawn forward—beyond the glass-framed sitting area and out toward the infinity pool, with the hills rising beyond. To the left, the kitchen and dining room form the villa’s heart. The kitchen is sleek yet purposeful, with wide prep surfaces and professional appliances. The dining table seats twelve comfortably perfect for long, wine-filled meals, whether cooked by guests or by the villa’s skilled chef.
To the right, living spaces await: a sitting room ideal for a subtitled Italian film, a studio for reading or writing, and other quiet nooks designed for solitude. Floor-to-ceiling glass allows nature in at every opportunity, while recessed shelving and thoughtful finishes add a sense of rhythm.
One bedroom is located on the ground floor. The remaining five are upstairs—each a peaceful, pared-back retreat with natural-fiber bedding, wooden floors, and either subtle patterning or forest-toned wallpaper. Bathrooms are equally understated, with walk-in showers, brass fittings, and carefully chosen stone or ceramic basins.
Downstairs, the gym faces out across the valley, offering Technogym equipment for those who want it, and a massage room for those who don’t. Everything is intentional, and nothing feels hurried.
