Inspired by nutritionist Jeanette Hyde's book, The Gut Makeover, The Gut Makeover Retreat offers a forward-thinking eating plan designed to promote digestive health and restore physical and mental wellbeing. The full Gut Makeover lasts for four weeks so this is a great way to kick-start your new eating plan, learn new recipes and improve your fitness with core-strengthening Pilates classes each day.
TREATMENTS AND ACTIVITIES
The Gut Makeover Retreat runs for five nights and introduces guests to a way of eating designed to restore good digestive function, aid weight loss and improve all-round health. Guests will have a one-to-one consultation at the beginning of their stay in order to ascertain their specific dietary needs. Healthy eating is supported by regular Pilates sessions with Bernadette Phillips.
In addition, guests are invited to partake in massages, picnics, yoga sessions, and boat trips during their stay. Walking, cycling and riding are also available nearby.
Jeanette Hyde holds a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy and is a member of BANT (The British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy).
Bernadette Phillips is an experienced Pilates teacher who is known for her sport performance method of training, focusing on core strength, flexibility and posture to support fitness and injury recovery.
