Set within 30 acres on the southern foothills of Mallorca’s Tramuntana mountains, Finca Olivera rises above the village of Esporles with far-reaching views across this UNESCO-protected landscape. Originally an olive farm dating back some 500 years, its most captivating feature lies in the way history and design meet - a carefully restored finca framed by olive and citrus trees, where mountain stillness and contemporary comfort sit side by side.
The house itself has been shaped by local architect Antonio Obrador, whose work includes Hotel Cap Rocat, and the interiors by Luis Bustamante bring warmth and colour into each space. There are nine guest bedrooms, each individually characterised with a balance of tradition and comfort.
Throughout, the large windows and wide openings create a constant visual connection to the mountains and terraces beyond. Living spaces are designed to adapt to the mood of the day from the indoor dining room to three outdoor dining areas that open onto the landscape. The fully equipped kitchen acts as a lively centre point and offers casual dining. The main living room is a space to enjoy conversation while the TV room on the first floor is ideal for quieter downtime. The colourful lounge and party room with its bar and wine cave offer an atmospheric setting to continue the night’s entertainment.
The swimming pool, with its bar and pergola, draws people together and as the sun sets the surrounding palm trees create a beautiful reflection on the water. A small gym, equipped with an elliptical machine, stationary bicycle, weights and yoga mats offers guests the chance to keep up with their exercise routine whilst enjoying incredible views of the surrounding countryside.
The villa's exceptional location invites exploration. Within less than 30 minutes by car, the charming stone-built streets of Valldemossa, Deià and Sóller can be reached, while Banyalbufar and Puigpunyent offer quieter corners of the island. Palma’s beautiful old town and waterfront promenade are also just 30 minutes away, as is the glamorous marina at Puerto Portals. For those looking to enjoy the peaceful countryside, the surrounding mountains offer an extensive network of walking routes, many beginning near the house, tracing ancient paths once used by donkeys. The pretty village of Esporles is just a 5-minute drive away, with local shops, restaurants and a weekly market.
