The property provides spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to 16 guests, all bedrooms having en-suite bathrooms. Although now fully modernized, the property showcases many original features, including a beautiful oak panelling in the hall, drawing room and TV room, all with open log fires.
Surrounding the property are traditional Cotswold gardens, occasionally open to the public and Garden Club of America (not during rentals), which have been planted over centuries, including a stunning walled rose garden. The gardens at the front of the house face due West, capturing the evening sun. They also feature uninterrupted views to the celebrated Broadway Tower, five miles away, designed by the great 18th century landscape designer, “Capability Brown”. Beyond the formal gardens is a tennis court fringed with climbing roses and delightful views of the chapel. There are lawns for games, swings under the walnut trees for children, and a wild, spring-fed swimming lake with a paddle board, and rowing boat for guest use. After a swim, guests can enjoy the sauna located in a wooden pod close to the lake. Anglers are also well catered for, with both coarse and fly fishing rods available, and plenty of trout and carp to catch. An adjacent boathouse is fully-equipped for alfresco dining, with fridges and cooking facilities as we all as a large South African-style fire pit with gas and charcoal barbeques on the bank of the lake. The village is within walking distance and there are numerous beautiful walks and footpaths to explore.
