DUNTON HOT SPRINGS

Hidden away in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, close to Telluride, Dunton Hot Springs provides world-class spa facilities in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. The settlements at Dunton are dwarfed by towering pine trees and enveloped by the vast green landscape. Twelve quaint, hand-hewn timber lodges - and one all-season tent - surround a central saloon and dance hall. Some of the cabins were originally built by local miners, while others have been erected more recently in the same authentic style.

The spa at Dunton is unequalled in ranch country. Treatments are all-natural, featuring healing oils and stones from the nearby river and the well-equipped gym will enable you to stick to your daily routine. That said, the countryside around Dunton begs to be explored. The team at Dunton have breathed life into the original town Saloon, and it now serves as the heart of the 'village' once again. Dine with other guests as the cattle outlaws once did, or choose to dine alone. The open kitchen creates an informal atmosphere, yet the food is world-class featuring home grown ingredients. As the seasons change, so do the possibilities. Great riding can be enjoyed year round, and summer activities such as fishing and rock climbing give way to winter pursuits such as skiing and rock climbing.
