Founded in 1915, Lone Mountain Ranch has had a front-row seat on more than a century of Montana history. This includes the development of the town of Big Sky and the birth of Yellowstone National Park, located less than 20 miles away. Today, the Ranch combines a traditional frontier experience - featuring access to some of the most spectacular, unspoilt American countryside - with superior home comforts and some of the region’s finest farm-to-table dining
The 25 historic log cabins are dotted around the ranch's creeks, woodland and hilltops. Built of native pine, they range from the one-bed Ouzel, with its claw-foot bathtub and warming wood stove, to the six-bedroom Ridgetop Lodge, an expansive escape with towering windows and views of Lone Peak.
