Day 4 Denali by Air
Fly over the Susitna River Valley to the Alaska Range as part of a group in a small flightseeing plane today, looking out for bear and moose in the tundra below. Alaska's pilots have usually learnt to fly before they learn to ride a bike, so you will be in safe hands. Fly within six miles of Denali's 20,310 foot summit as you enter the ancient world of towering peaks, rugged mountains and massive glacier-filled valleys. You may also make a short landing on a glacier and step outside to fully appreciate this extreme world of rock and ice.

Day 5 Talkeetna to Girdwood
Today you will cover 150 miles as you are driven south to Girdwood which sits at the foot of the Chugach Mountains. In the afternoon visit an historic and still active gold mine and possibly try your hand at gold panning in the stream, just as the frontiersmen used to do. Take the cable car to gain a different perspective and enjoy the views of Turnagain Arm and the surrounding glaciers.
Overnight: Hotel Alyeska

Day 6 Prince William Sound
Take to the water today in a private vessel for a cruise in the glacier-filled Prince William Sound. Your embarkation point is Whittier, located at the end of North America's longest combined vehicle-railroad tunnel, and your captain will take you in search of tidewater glaciers, dramatic mountain views and abundant wildlife - typically seals, sea lions and otters.

Day 7 Chugach Mountains
Fuel up again on a hearty Alaskan breakfast before setting out to explore the Chugach Mountains. A visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Centre will see you feeding a moose and meeting bear, caribou, musk ox and lynx. Take the train for a scenic trip into the Chugach Mountains, travelling through tunnels and over gulches as you wind your way to Grandview. After a short walk, board your inflatable boat at Spencer Whistle Stop for a gentle float around the lake to get close to the glacier face and touch an iceberg. Finish the day with a feast of freshly baked salmon beside the lake before heading back to Girdwood.
