Day 2 - 5 Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park
Drive across the border into Wyoming for a few days in Jackson Hole, a stone's throw from the magnificent Teton Range and Jackson Lake. This is a scenic journey of 4-5 hours.
Jackson Hole offers plenty of opportunity for adventure. Included in your stay is an early morning wildlife tour into Grand Teton National Park with a local naturalist-guide to view the herds of elk and bison and occasional moose, bear and beaver. We can also organise insider access to the culture of the area: head to a rodeo, visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art, or explore the saloons and typical Western shops with a local guide. You can also enjoy a wide range of characteristic activities including river rafting, riding and fly fishing.
Day 6 - 8 Yellowstone National Park
From Jackson it's just over 3 hours to Yellowstone, the very first of America's national parks, founded in 1872. Forests, lakes, waterfalls and geysers create spectacular scenery for hiking or cycling, and don't miss the chance to see grizzly bears, wolves and many other species including coyotes, birds of prey and elk. Your stay will start with a full-day orientation tour to the park with a local naturalist-guide, including the hidden gem geothermal features, wildlife viewing sites, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. Optional activities include riding, fly fishing and lake kayaking.
Overnight: Old Faithful Snow Lodge
Day 9 - 12 The Ranch at Rock Creek
Travel north for just over four hours to the wilds of Montana for a few days' immersion into ranch life. The Ranch at Rock Creek is one of America's most luxurious and exclusive dude ranches, with beautiful authentic style log cabins and large canvas 'cabins' - or luxury tents - that offer supreme comfort. Wildlife to include wolves, coyotes, deer, elk and moose roam freely in the area, and there is much to get involved with: excellent fly fishing, riding, shooting, archery, hiking and cycling to name a few. The Ranch at Rock Creek also has an excellent children's club, meaning you can have a little time to yourselves.
