Day 1 Arrive in Svolvær and board HMS Gåssten in Henningsvær
Welcome to Lofoten! You will be met upon arrival at Svolvær Airport and transferred to nearby Henningsvær to board HMS Gåssten. Here you will be welcomed by Jamie the Captain - a Yorkshire man who has now made his home in Norway - and enjoy afternoon tea on board before setting out on a gentle introduction to Henningsvær. This charming fishing village is sometimes referred to as the Venice of Norway due to its waterways and islets, and its galleries, museums and shops are a delight to explore. This evening, settle in to your first dinner on board - a celebration of the freshest produce of the region, prepared by HMS Gåssten's superb chef.

Charting a scenic course north in the direction of Gimsøyand, you will have an opportunity this morning to play a round of golf at Lofoten Links, regularly proclaimed to be one of the most spectacular golf courses in the world. There are plenty of additional activities to showcase the very best of Gimsøyand, and there will be ample time this afternoon to hike along the bay in search of seals and sea otters or take a gentle coastal ride on an Icelandic pony. This evening, an atmospheric Viking dinner awaits in an ancient fishing hut on the beach. Those visiting during June and July will also have the opportunity to return to Lofoten Links to play nine holes under the Midnight Sun.

Along with the picturesque uninhabited island of Litmolla, Skrova exudes a feeling of complete serenity. In addition to quiet contemplation of the mesmerising scenery, you could challenge yourself to some more active pursuits such as kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and wild swimming.
